What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again! Tickets are still available for PEERS’ Swingin’ in the Rain Ball. Whether it rains or shines, please join us for an evening in 1927 Hollywood at a ball inspired by that most joyous of movie musicals! Suggested costume is late 20's/early 30's costume or vintage or modern evening dress. As usual, however, costumes are admired, but not required. Just be certain to wear something you can really dance in! Our featured band for the evening is Sara & Swingtime. Their sets will veer between elegant vintage ballroom dance music (waltzes, tangos, fox trots, sambas, rumbas, etc.), cool blues, and hot Swing of the 1920's and early 30's. For guests wishing to brush up on their vintage dance skills, there will be a pre-ball dance lesson starting at 7:00 p.m. In defiance of Prohibition, we will once again feature our celebrated No-Host (cash) bar. To sustain us through four vigorous dance sets, a complimentary light snack buffet will also be served throughout the evening (your potluck contributions are always appreciated). Intermission entertainment includes both dance and musical performances and DJ dance music for you insatiable dancers. Fans of Lee Presson & the Nails will be pleased to know that our guest intermission dance D.J. is the incomparable Lee Presson himself.
