Does anyone have some gorgeous costume planned for October 28 Gaskell's and can't possibly keep the secret until then? Will there be a Scarlett an Rhett from "Gone With the Wind"? Victor, Victoria, and Corpse Bride Emily? Please tell -- or give us a hint!

Re: October Dressings
Mon, October 30, 2006 - 9:20 AMI'm sorry I couldn't make it Sat night. I have been waaaayy too out of energy to do a single thing for Halloween. I know that my friends will sacrifice themselves, and step up to have my fun for me, though.

Sun, October 22, 2006 - 11:31 AMBut that would be *boring*! I'm going for the fairy-tale version. -
-
Re: October Dressings
Mon, October 23, 2006 - 5:40 PMOne person's fairy tale is another person's nightmare, and then there's the goths. :-P In fact, last night at the Beauty and the Beast ball, there were plenty of black-clad fairy tale witches. -

Re: October Dressings
Fri, October 20, 2006 - 9:13 PMLast year I was Pre-Raphaelite, so this year I think I'll try being actually medieval. It's a, um, subtle difference but that's just the kind of geek I am.

Re: October Dressings
Mon, October 23, 2006 - 11:42 PMThis is my first October Gaskells ever and I'm super excited since it gives me an exucse to dress up like a pirate with a bunch of friends and since I'm going to have celebrated my brithday about two hours before...
Because my birthday is this week. Go me!
The details of my costume (which isn't really gonna look that stunning) I will save for the acutall date. But it is piratey...Oh is it piratey!
Anyone know where to get forest/emerald/dark green striped tights? -

Unfortunately, I won't have time to do it before the acutall ball... -

Re: October Dressings
Wed, October 25, 2006 - 12:53 PMoh, and stop the clock in downtown berkeley (1 block north of center, east of shattuck by 1/2 a block, by the scandinavian furniture store) has wonderful selection in tights as well. -
